While we look to move the forums onto a new site, account creation has been disabled to stop the amount of spam in the forums. 

That takes care of another fun-filled event. The new lighting effects seemed to be popular and added that extra bit of wow to the event. there seemed to be plenty of gaming with a fair focus on CoD4 which was surprising to say the least. After a heavily delayed start mainly due to "version conflicts", we got things rolling with the L4D comp - with only 3 teams entered they battled it out in a round-robin. The Comp was won by the team "Pretty Pretty Petals" which consisted of Avenger, Ginga_Ninja, NovaNero, and Wardy
They each took home a $25 Voucher From EB Games.After a refreshing feed of Pinky's Pizzas we fired up the lights and smoke machine and introduced everyone to the latest MorB Promo Video which was a hit with all. This will be uploaded to youtube later in the week for those that want to see it again or missed it at the time.We then went on to run our CoD4 competition. With just over 60 players entered into 6 servers after just over an hours play our Winner of the CoD4 Free-For-All comp was Iceman. He was fortunate enough to take home the generous donation of the $100 Voucher from SuperBilling!

After some general gaming we then had our giveaway session and congratulations goes to the lucky winners. The Prizes consisted of Blocks of chocolate, Pinkys Pizza vouchers, Korean Red Bull, a hamper full of goodies from Top Notch Balloons, $100 Voucher for Accor Hotels courtesy multicomm, $50 Voucher from Retravision, 1TB External USB Hard Drive thanks to multicomm. The lucky winners were megag, sly, noxide, fatal, mc_puddle, dan_bo, airbud, d0ug13, clone, kira3280, d1ng0, warehouse, midnite, long5hot, jefferzz.

MorB 18 is around the corner and we have got some fun ideas and games lined up for you. There will be multiple competitions and the usual bagful of prizes including vouchers, an external hdd, some thermaltake gear, and a few other items that we are still working on.

- Left 4 Dead - 4v4 Team Comp Elim/Dbl Elim depending on entries.

- COD4 FFA - a classic!

The admin team is working hard to gain sponsorship from as many companies as possible to make each event bigger and bigger, but we are only human and can only do so much. Patches and Games
Please have all games patched up to date, as this will ensure that everyone is ready to roll as quickly as possible.
Patches will be availiable on the server if need be, but we recommend that you have them pre-installed to allow for the "Maximum Gaming Experience".

Food and Drinks
There will still be free coffee and tea, everyone seemed to keep that area nice and clean last time around, so thankfully we can continue to provide that service.
We will endeavour to get the vending machine back for this event, but failing that, we will have softdrink and water bottles available for purchase.


Again, We ask that you simply make sure the coffee/tea area is kept clean and IF there is a bit of a mess, or the urn is empty or low on water, please contact one of the Admin team.

Updates and Virus Checks
You should have updated your operating system and Anti-Virus software as well as scanned for viruses prior to the event.

Intranet
The Intranet will be up for MorB 18, please ensure that after you PC is turned on, you pay for your seat and your PC will be activated on the network. The intranet will be used to join the comps you wish to play as well as for pizza orders. Don't forget to order your pizza early so you don't miss out.

Behaviour:
Remember there IS somewhat of a code of conduct while at a LAN. We want all LANners to have fun and we understand laughter can not be controlled sometimes, but please keep note of this when yelling out after a Kill, Cap or Revenging Shot

We hope to see as many faces (both old and new) at our events, so please spread the word to all your friends. More people = more gaming = more PRIZES!

Gamers from around the Southwest will once again gather at MorB for the 17th event to keep their titles as not only the best at the comps they won, but to keep their title as the victor of MorB. We are expecting some very heated gaming, as well, as some intense and insane strategies, as they all race, fight and battle it out (in game) to be the best of the best.

This MorB, we have changed the comp style a tad, we want the people that brag about their clans to step up and prove it. Our Main comp this year is Call of Duty: World at War – Nazi Zombie Mode People will team up in teams of 4 and see how many rounds they can last with wave after wave of Zombies coming at them, a massive amount of team work is needed for effective survival in this Game Mode, but we are certain you all have it, well some at least.

Then after the main comp, You will continue to battle it out with our focus games, these are games that are fun/still popular and usually fairly new, also in early hours of the morning, I will be running spot comps and will be handing out any thing left over (ie. Blocks of Chocolate to magazines or posters) for fun CoD5 comps and challenges people have for one another.

Make sure to spread the word, the more that come, the bigger MorB gets and the more we are recognised and better stand a chance at even more prizes and more sponsors. Bring your friends, parents, brothers and sisters, cousin even the kitchen sink!
The MorB team will be working hard to ensure that the event is as action packed and adrenaline filled as a weekend with your daredevil Grandma, so be ready, patch up with also an OS update and bring a lot of energy drinks, because MorB will be force feeding you comps to win

We have opened up the registrations for MorB 14 which will be held on September 8th. Yes we realise that is very soon but we hope it will be well received. There is still some details to finalise with sponsors and we will inform those registered to attend of any new information as it arises.
